  • Venus Williams is in London, but she made time for a quick stop at a beautiful gym during her travels.

  • In a photo and video she posted to Instagram, Venus showed off her mega-toned abs and arms in the cutest, pink workout set.

  • The tennis star works hard to prevent injuries, which includes lots of preventative stretching and yoga.

Venus Williams has been a professional tennis player since she was 14(!), and she’s making it clear that she’s still putting in the hard work at the gym. The 42-year-old just dropped photos and video of herself at a luxe facility in London and, whew—she’s as strong as ever these days.

In the first photo, Venus leans against a pole next to a rack of weights and slew of exercise balls while wearing a hot pink sports bra and leggings that show off her impressive abs. Slide on over to the video, and you’ll see her doing a cool series of stretches in that same ‘fit before sitting up.

“You know what’s always a constant? The gym. Stay moving my friends,” she wrote in the caption. People cheered the tennis great on in the comments. “Consistency always from a champion 🔥❤️🙌🏼 ,” wrote one person, while another said, “six pack summer coming up! 💪”

By the way, Venus shared another video in her Instagram Stories of herself stretching out her hip flexors, writing, “it’s called calisthenics” over top. Stretching is *always* a good idea before a hard workout, and Venus knows it!

Venus is working her way back from a hamstring injury, but she’s still getting in regular tennis workouts to keep herself in pro form. Venus told Women’s Health last year that she’s had to alter her workout routines due to injuries.

“For me, it was like baby steps,” she said of coming back from an injury. As a result, she learned to create new targets for herself. “Every effort you put in adds up,” Venus added. “If one day you only put in a minute, that adds up.”

Venus throw some yoga in the mix when she’s not crushing it on the court. In 2020, her sister Serena Williams shared a video of the two of them working their way through a 40-minute, yoga-based workout that worked their arms, abs, legs, and more.

As for her diet, Venus told WH that she considers herself a “chegan” (i.e. a vegan who cheats). She isn’t huge on breakfast—she usually goes straight to the court or gym to train for about five hours. But she’ll usually have a fruit and protein shake, like one made with strawberry protein powder and red mangoes.

Lunch and dinner may include lentils on a salad with a mix of quinoa and pickled vegetables with homemade dressing. “Lately, I've started making my own dressing,” she said. “I made a vegan butter, and ranch buttermilk dressing. It's just so fresh, and it's so quick. The longest it takes [is the time] it takes to chop the vegetables.”

Venus Williams, everybody!
