'Venom 3' Receives Official Title and Earlier Release Date

Sony Pictures' Tom Hardy-starring third installment of the Venom franchise has an official title and earlier release date.

The film, now revealed to be titled Venom: The Last Dance and is set to release a couple weeks before the previously announced November 8. While it is still uncertain what the plot direction will be, the film has confirmed the return as Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. Joining Hardy are Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Clark Backo in the third sequel. Kelly Marcel is set to make her feature directorial debut. Marcel and Hardy worked on the screenplay together while Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker are producing alongside them.

The combined previous films in the franchise earned over $1 billion USD at the box office, releasing in 2018 and 2021 respectively. The third film was announced April 2022 and now over two years later, it is finally arriving in theaters. Venom: The Last Dance will now release on October 25, 2024 at select theaters globally.
