Velveeta Just Released A Cheese-Inspired Hair Dye And It's Not An April Fool's Joke

Julia Fox is practically the poster child of unapologetic style choices. The actress has donned everything from a full-on wedding dress (worn casually on the streets of NYC) to a completely transparent top made of...condoms. Just yesterday, Fox added a new out-of-the-box look to her portfolio with Velveeta cheese-inspired hair.
The OMG Fashun host stepped out in New York City Sunday for a Knicks game with golden hair courtesy of Velveeta's newest release: a semi-permanent hair dye called "Velveeta Gold," which actually is not an April Fool's Day Joke.
As a way to "empower people to live their boldness out loud," the cheese brand has released the hair product on Amazon for $7.50. The four-ounce tubs are reportedly enough for short hair, but longer styles may need two tubs or more to achieve the desired cheese-inspired shade.
"The Velveeta Gold is honestly fab and she’s definitely golden!" Fox's hairstylist John Novotny told People.
"Julia and I were both pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the gold color is. It’s a warmer yellow [reminiscent of] a warm sunny day or delicious bowl of mac and cheese," they said, while noting that the dye is inspired by the brand's "supremely creamy and melty goodness."
Now, if you're unfamiliar with how semi-permanent hair dye works, let me catch you up to speed. You (and our girl, Julia) won't be walking around with yellow hair for months. Products like this typically last up to six washes, however, if you have darker hair you'll likely need to bleach it before even applying the Velveeta Gold—which won't just wash out in the shower.
