Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven might have won the fight against Jamie Campbell Bower's Vecna at the end of Stranger Things Season 4, but Duffer Brothers have clearly left more room to explore the terrifying villain's story arc by leaving him alive, and now the English actor has teased his revenge in the show's upcoming fifth and final season. Speaking to NME in an interview, Bower says that Vecna is very much determined to take his revenge on Eleven, her friends, and Hawkins, and that the audience would be wrong to think he's retreated to nurse his wounds.

"He’s pissed, he’s properly vexed," he remarked. "I don’t think he’s slunk off licking his wounds in misery. He’s rebuilding, and he’s out for blood. It’s like, you’ve really fucking pushed the buttons now, that classic Jason Voorhees [the hockey-masked killer from Friday the 13th] thing – you’ve made a big mistake."

While he doesn't know exactly how the rest of Season 5 would go, for the time being, Bower also expressed his desire to see Vecna's relationship with Noah Schnapp's Will Byers explored more. "I think Vecna and Will have a connection that’s yet to be explored," the actor added. "As a fan, I’d be interested to see more of that."

There's currently no release date yet for the final season of Stranger Things, but filming is slated to begin in 2023, so you can expect the show to drop in 2024 earliest.

Elsewhere in entertainment, new details reveal Thor: Love and Thunder had cut several Guardians of the Galaxy and Zeus scenes for its final theatrical cut.
