I’ve Used This Dry Shampoo for 6 Years, and I’m Never Going to Use Another One

My hair has a natural tendency to get oily quickly, so the concept of dry shampoo has been a savior. It helps me go a few days without washing it, which in turn keeps it softer and healthier — constantly stripping your hair of its natural oils is a surefire way to dry it up really fast. The downside of many dry shampoos, however, is that they cause product build-up on your scalp if you use it too often; not to mention, if you spray too much, your roots will have a powdery white sheen over them no matter how many times you try to tousle and brush them out.

I say “many dry shampoos” because I’ve never had gripes with Klorane. A few sprays of the dry shampoo refreshes my roots within seconds, absorbs any excess oil, and gives my hair its bounce back. It even gives it more texture for styling purposes. It feels light on my hair, and it has never left that white sheen I was talking about. Using it once keeps my hair looking newly washed for at least 48 hours, and its light texture doesn’t build up if I decide to use it again instead of hopping in the shower.

I’ve also found it helpful when I’ve gotten a little too generous with my favorite hair moisturizer — one light spritz immediately soaks up all that moisture and leaves strands looking bright and clean.

Over the course of the six years I’ve used dry shampoos, I’ve tried others, too, but mostly because it was quite difficult to find Klorane products in the U.S. a few years ago. Now that you can easily buy it in the States, I can honestly say I’m never using another dry shampoo again — and I always make sure I’m stocked up so I’m never caught without a bottle.

You can (very thankfully!) find a full-sized bottle of it on Sephora for $20 and a 1-ounce travel-sized bottle for $10.
