I’ve tried SO many brow pens and pencils but I always go back to this high street pick

If the eyes are the windows to your soul, then surely your eyebrows are the window treatment? The curtains and blinds, if you will. And mine are, well, not naturally the prettiest.

If the best, thickest brows are, say, expensive custom shutter blinds or black-out curtains, mine are see-through, generic linen mix ones from the high street. They're fine, but a bit shabby. I always have to fill them in before I leave the house otherwise I just don't feel myself.

Because I fill them in every day, I go through brow products the most quickly out of all my makeup stash and recently I realised the one product I always go back to is the NYX Lift and Snatch Brow Pen.

I've tried SO many super-expensive brow products, some I liked and some I couldn't even finish but the NYX brow pen is the only one I repurchase multiple times a year, a big deal when you are lucky enough to get to try all the newest launches.

If you like a really realistic-looking, feathery brow that sets quickly, this will be your bag. It comes in 9 different shades– I opt for the black – and the strokes blend in really seamlessly with natural hair colours.

I often find that black brow products are rarely truly black, they normally take on a greyish or brown-ish hue on my skin, but this is a gorgeous, glossy true black that not only mimics my hair with colour but the sheen of my hair texture too.

I honestly think it's hard to go wrong with this brow pen. To apply, I wipe my brow of any sneaky foundation that seeped onto the area and then, starting from the arch working out to the tail, I apply it using quick strokes upwards. I then do a few strokes at the start of each brow to thicken them up, let it set and then finish with a bit of brow wax on a spoolie.

While I'll continue to test out different brow products, I'm now a NYX devotee for life. Whenever there's a discount on it, I always stock up. I mean, if it's already around £10 and there's 30-50% off and I buy four, then that's getting two for free so I'm basically making money. Girl maths.
