A great bra—one that fits properly, offers support, gives a boost, and is so comfortable you almost forget you are wearing it—is a unicorn. As someone in their 40s, I’ve spent hundreds (possibly thousands) of dollars hunting for the perfect push-up over the years, but I finally found the one: Chantelle’s Day to Night Underwire Demi Bra.

The gorgeous bra is designed out of intricate lace and partially lined in rigid tulle to smooth and support. It includes a rounded underwire that lifts and supports the breast without digging into your sides, wide, comfy straps, and a hook-and-eye. Available in sizes 30A to 38G, it makes a great bra for larger chests; when I was pregnant with my children, my 34Cs transformed into 36Gs—a size that limited my options. The Chantelle bra surprisingly supported my larger chest during those months.

With a demi cut, Chantelle’s Day to Night Bra offers just enough cleavage to wear with a sexy, low-cut top, but also looks great underneath a white T-shirt. It is equal parts functional for daily wear yet sexy enough for date nights. Since I purchased my first one a few years back, I haven’t strayed and now own the style in multiple colors.

Other people are just as obsessed as I am. One Nordstrom reviewer, who wears a size 34DD, called it their “staple every day bra,” revealing that they own four of them. “If you are looking for an unlined demi bra that's comfortable all day long this is the bra for you,” they said, noting that it offers an “amazing lifted, separated, round breast shape under a sweater or blouse.” Another 36G reviewer claimed that it is the “best bra” for a “substantial bust.” “It can handle my heavy projected breasts while still giving them a nice round shape,” they explained.

While definitely not a budget buy, this bra is worth the investment. The French brand has been around since 1876, and is known for designing high-quality lingerie. The lace is surprisingly durable and high-quality, and wears incredibly well over time. I wear each color of the Chantelle bra a few times a week and after years, the only reason I ever replace them is if my cup size changes. (It runs true to size, FYI).
