Vanna White to Compete on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ for Second Time Ever

For the first time in over 25 years with Wheel of Fortune, Vanna White is joining the show as a competitor, instead of a host.
The star will compete on an upcoming episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, going head to head with fellow game show hosts Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik of Jeopardy!
ABC recently announced the exciting news, revealing that the Ultimate Host Night episode will air on May 10.
As with all contestants on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, White, Jennings and Bialik will be playing for their charity of choice.
White is playing for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, while Jennings is representing the Equal Justice Initiative and Bialik is playing for the Mental Wealth Alliance. All of the money the celebrity contestants win will be awarded to their charity.

What will likely surprise some people is that White actually competed on Wheel of Fortune once before.
The 66-year-old was a contestant on a 1997 episode, competing alongside host Pat Sajak while Jeopardy! host, Alex Trebek, took over hosting duties.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune originally premiered in the summer of 2021, and throughout its run so far, the show has hosted many famous faces, including Leslie Jones, Drew Carey, Anthony Anderson, Rachael Leigh Cook, and many more.
Like with the original Wheel of Fortune, the show is usually hosted by Sajak and White, so fans will have to see who steps in to do White's job revealing letters as she competes.
The episode will be a nice change of pace for White, who has been working on the show for over 40 years now, celebrating her anniversary with Wheel of Fortune last December.
White is a key part of the fan-favorite game show. Fans love her friendship with Sajak, and audiences often discuss her extensive Wheel of Fortune wardrobe on social media.
