Vanessa Williams Did Her Daughter’s Makeup and Hair for Prom
Prom season — that time of year when high school seniors have their big “wow” moment — is still going strong. While many have a glam squad to help them get ready before their big reveal, others have the option of turning to their talented mothers to get beautified — just as Sasha Fox, the daughter of Vanessa Williams, did.
Fox went to prom this past Thursday, and instead of going to a department store makeup counter, hiring a makeup artist and hairstylist, or visiting a local Sephora, she allowed her former beauty-queen mom to give her a sultry makeup and hair look that is right on point.
Williams shared a photo of the final look on Instagram with a caption that read, “This is what prom looks like at my house! Bam hair & makeup by me.”

The 17-year-old wore a form-fitting long double spaghetti-strap dress with a subtle side slit and minimal jewelry. For Fox’s hair, Williams gave her daughter a side part with soft, tousled curls that cascaded down a little past her shoulders. Fox’s makeup was also kept simple and chic. She had light sweeps of blush and highlighter, clean black eyeliner, and a glossy lip. Overall, looks like mama Williams still has serious skills — and also passed her good looks on to her daughter.
