Vanessa Morgan’s Husband Has Reportedly Filed For a Divorce Following Her Pregnancy Announcement

  • On Friday, Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan revealed she's pregnant with her first child.

  • It is now being reported that her husband, Michael Kopech, has filed for a divorce from the actress after just six months of marriage.

Less than a week after Vanessa Morgan announced that she's pregnant with her first child, the Chicago Tribune has learned that her husband, Michael Kopech, is filing for a divorce from the Riverdale actress.

The Tribune reported on Monday that court records show the baseball player filed the case back on June 19th. According to her Instagram post, Vanessa found out she was pregnant just a month before.

This comes just a few days after Vanessa posted the exciting news that she is pregnant with a boy on Instagram. Michael is confirmed to be the father of the baby, according to People, but he was noticeably missing from the announcement, which featured videos and photos from a name reveal party.

Vanessa and Michael got married in January 2020 in Florida. She wore a gorgeous, lace long-sleeved dress and her Riverdale castmates, Madelaine Petsch and Camila Mendes, acted as bridesmaids at the ceremony.
