Vanessa Hudgens is about to enjoy the start of something new — motherhood! The High School Musical star announced the happy news by revealing her baby bump on the red carpet of the 2024 Oscars. And while she kept things rather tame during the show — glowing in a form-fitting black gown with long sleeves, a long train, and a high neck — she spiced things up for the Vanity Fair after-party.

Hudgens — who is expecting her first baby with baseball player Cole Tucker — changed into a flowy and sheer black gown. Her breasts were covered and she wore black underwear, but nothing else was left to the imagination. Her baby bump was on full display, and though she hasn’t shared more details (besides this cheeky Instagram post), it’s possible she’s far along in her pregnancy.

The singer’s announcement comes about five months after denying pregnancy rumors. In October 2023, she posted an Instagram reel from her bachelorette party that had the peanut gallery instantly speculating.

“Why does she look pregnant to me or like she’s trying to hide a bump 🤔🤔,” one person asked, and it just kept going. “Because we have eyes!” “I thought the same thing! She’s glowing!!! I’m so happy for her 💕”

Hudgens was quick to shoot that theory down. “Not pregnant so y’all can stop,” she responded in the comments.

Auntie Experience

We’re sure Hudgens will transfer some of her “aunt” skills into her life as a mother. ICYMI: The “Sneaker Night” singer is an honorary auntie to High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter. In April 2021, Hudgens said she was “so excited” to eventually meet Jupiter who was born the month prior. Tisdale and her husband Christopher French were holding off on having visitors, wanting to wait for their newborn’s immune system to build up given the COVID-19 pandemic.

“[Ashley’s] like, ‘You have to come over and sing for her because she loves singing … Whenever she’s on her stomach, she kicks when there’s singing!’” Hudgens told Access at the time. “So I’m like, I’m going to come over and be the auntie who sings.”
