Last week, news broke that actress Vanessa Hudgens was single after breaking up with her boyfriend of nearly nine years, Austin Butler. The world pretty much shook, but Vanessa seems to be doing just fine amid the split, since she was just spotted grabbing dinner with Los Angeles Lakers player Kyle Kuzma on Tuesday, January 21. According to Us Weekly, the pair was seen at Lilia in Brooklyn.

Think this new romance came out of nowhere? Well, there may have been a hint that the two were in touch, after Vanessa commented on Kyle's recent Instagram post. (Worth noting: They began following each other on the social media platform earlier in January, per Us Weekly.)

Just a couple days before the duo were spotted at dinner, Kyle captioned an Instagram photo, "Yeaaaa we like thatttt," and Vanessa replied, "Ya we doooo." (Do I sense some flirting?! Ya I doooo.)

So who exactly is Kyle Kuzma? Here's what you need to know about Vanessa's new beau:

He's an NBA player (duh).

Kyle currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, the same NBA team that Vanessa just so happened to watch play on January 14. He joined the team for his rookie season in 2017. Before making it to the league, he played at the University of Utah. In 2019, he was chosen to be part of Team USA in the FIBA World Cup.

Oh, and btw, Vanessa called Kyle one of her "heros," along with fellow Lakers Lebron James and Dwight Howard, in a recent Instagram post.

Kyle's younger than Vanessa.

He's 24, and hails from Flint, Michigan. (FYI: Vanessa is 31.)

He's still super connected to his hometown.

Kyle is involved with the Safe Place Program for kids in need in Flint.

The two were spotted together on a yacht in July 2019, according to the NY Post. He also dated fitness model Katya Elise Henry from 2018 to mid 2019.
