Stop what you're doing, because Vanessa Hudgens has finally weighed in on Austin Butler's Elvis Presley voice.

Voice coach Irene Bartlett recently spoke about Presley's voice refusing to leave Butler's body after his starring role in the film Elvis, telling ABC Gold Coast, "What you saw in that Golden Globes speech, that's him. It's genuine, it's not put on. I feel sorry people are saying that, you know, it's still acting [but] he's actually taken [the voice of Presley] on board."
Instagram user @ryinskott posted a series of perfect reactions to Bartlett's comment—and whomst should show up in the comments but Hudgens, who simply wrote, "crying."
The actress's comment came just days after Butler received a ton of backlash for calling Hudgens his "friend" while telling the story of how she manifested him playing Elvis Presley prior to Baz Luhrmann announcing his biopic.
"The month before I heard that Baz was making the movie, I was going to look at Christmas lights with a friend," he said during a Hollywood Reporter roundtable. "And there was an Elvis Christmas song on the radio, and I was singing along, and my friend looked over at me and goes, 'You've gotta play Elvis!' … And then a couple of weeks later, I was playing the piano. … That same friend was there, and I was playing the piano. She said, 'I'm serious—you gotta figure out how you can get the rights to a script.'"
Hudgens previously told this story when they were dating (she was the "friend," people), and naturally, Twitter has been unimpressed with Butler since.

Hudgens and Butler dated from 2011 to 2020. The High School Musical star has since moved on with baseball star Cole Tucker, while Butler is now dating model Kaia Gerber.
