Vanessa Hudgens Gets Haircut and Metal Beauty Looks for So You Think You Can Dance

Vanessa Hudgens has been debuting some major transformations lately, thanks to her new gig on So You Think You Can Dance. From icy blonde strands that got a stamp of approval from Paris Hilton to shimmery pink eye makeup, she’s been giving us a ton of inspiration when it comes to must-copy looks. Last night, she did it again, thanks to her glam squad: celeb MUA Allan Avendaño and celeb hairstylist Chad Wood. Allan called her makeup “rust and bronze,” referencing her glowing skin, metallic lips, and the washes of red shadow and blush he swept over her lids and cheeks. He even blended the shimmery burgundy shade across her lower lashline, but anchored the look with crisp black tightliner that created separation between the red hue and her eyes.

To match the statement makeup, Chad created a head-turning ‘do that we need to recreate immediately. “A little look change! Swish back,” he captioned his Instagram. He combined major volume at Vanessa’s crown with a slicked-back, shower strands effect, giving her the best of both worlds. And when she turned her head to the side, another surprise was revealed: a deep side part, punctuated by the prettiest metallic feather barrettes from Lelet. Thanks to Vanessa’s metal-accented hair and makeup, we almost missed the biggest change of all, which Chad hinted at in another one of his posts from the night. “Chop chop,” he wrote — and yes, it does appear that she got a cool chop to complete the look, giving her hair blunt, single-length ends to go with her sculptural mane. Between platinum wigs and spontaneous cuts, Vanessa’s stint on So You Think You Can Dance is definitely shaping up to be her best beauty chapter yet. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
