Vanessa Hudgens Channeled the '90s With Her Latest Beauty Look
Vanessa Hudgens took us on a trip down beauty memory lane this week, throwing it way back to the pre-High School Musical days.
For the Michael Jackson Diamond Celebration in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, Vanessa embraced her inner '90s girl with a look that could have come straight out of a scene from Never Been Kissed or She's All That. She wore her hair in a high bun with two face-framing pieces pulled out, and dusted her lids with a heavy coat of brown eyeshadow that lifted all the way to her brow bone. The finishing touch (and the ultimate in '90s beauty) was a deep brown lip-liner coated, with some sheer gloss.
"🌹🌹🌹90s vibezzz🌹🌹🌹," the actor captioned a photo of the look, which she paired with a red and white floral top and a lot of gold chains — including one that says "Saggitarius" in honor of her December birthday.
Between Vanessa's brown-on-brown look, Too Faced's new '90s inspired 20th anniversary collection, and the fact that scrunchies were practically a main character in the most important movie of the summer, it's pretty clear that '90s beauty is back in a big way for the fall of 2018. The good news? Mastering '90s beauty for yourself is shockingly easy. All you need is a brown lipliner (the more it contrasts with your lipstick, the better), some coffee-colored eyeshadow, and of course, a scrunchie. Part your hair in the middle, slick it all back with some gel, and pull out two pieces around your face a la Vanessa Hudgens, and you're ready for homeroom — in 1999 or 2019.
