Vanessa Hudgens may not be up for an individual nomination at the 2022 Oscars tonight, but she's got a huge night ahead of her thanks to her new job: Oscars Red Carpet pre-show co-host alongside Terrence J and Brandon Maxwell! The actress will watch as her movie Tick, Tick...BOOM! goes up for Best Film Editing and Best Actor (for Andrew Garfield) Awards later on, but for now she's busy christening the red carpet as one of the first stars to walk.

For the Oscars this year, Vanessa wore a simple black spaghetti strap Michael Kors Collection 2022 with cutouts on the side.

Here's what Vanessa is up to during the pre-show, according to the Academy: “The 90-minute special will highlight Oscar nominees, performers and presenters and give fans around the world the ultimate insiders’ sneak peek at Hollywood’s biggest night."

We do love a sneak peek. Vanessa is a regular at Oscars after parties, regularly appearing at Vanity Fair's popular event, but this marks a rare appearance of hers at the actual Oscars ceremony itself. The last time she walked the Academy Awards red carpet was back in 2009, when she wore a black dress and attended with her ex-boyfriend and High School Musical co-star Zac Efron (which tells you just how long it's been!)

How's that for a throwback?
