Natalia Bryant is growing her resumé, and her mom is cheering her on every step of the way.

On Sunday, Vanessa Bryant posted a carousel of photos on Instagram in celebration of her eldest daughter’s most recent accomplishment. After Natalia graduated from high school in 2021, she signed with IMG Models and announced she’d be attending the University of Southern California to work toward a degree in film. Over the weekend, the 20-year-old made her directorial debut, and it just may have been Vanessa’s proudest moment yet.

“I’m so proud of you @nataliabryant !!!” the mom of four wrote in her caption. She continued, “You’ve balanced school, friends, family, your sorority, your internship, your modeling jobs, runway debut, and film responsibilities & projects! You still find time to be present and responsible for everything you do and show up for every family event your schedule permits you to attend,” Vanessa praised.

“I cannot express how proud we are of you. We love you so much,” the matriarch gushed before sweetly adding, “Proud mom, dad and sisters for sure! 😘❤️ #directorialdebut 🎥 🎥 @uscedu #SmartBeauty ❤️ #FilmMajor”

Photos included one of Vanessa and Natalia embracing and smiling at the film screening, as well as one of Natalia crouching to hug her 6-year-old sister Bianka. The college student wore a beaming expression in each of the shots, exuding proud and confident energy of her own.

Before his tragic death in 2020, Natalia’s father Kobe Bryant began pursuing film. He created an animated short titled Dear Basketball in 2017, which ultimately won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film that year. The late basketball legend would be extraordinarily proud of his eldest child and her incredible achievements following the loss of him and her 13-year-old sister Gianna, we have no doubt.
