Lala Kent

Lala Kent revealed she's pregnant with baby number two over the weekend, but what is usually a joyous time for fans online was met with pushback from some.

On Sunday, March 3, the Vanderpump Rules star shared two adorable photos of herself posing with her 2-year-old daughter, Ocean, whom she shares with ex Randall Emmett.

In the first, Ocean gleefully looked up at her mom, whose baby bump was the only visible trait. The second showed the two of them taking their daily vitamins, with the 33-year-old preparing to down a liquid prenatal.

"I’m expanding my pod," she simply captioned the post. "A @maryruthorganics cheers to a new addition to my little family."

But not everyone was as ecstatic as Kent or her young daughter.

"This is sad ... having a baby without a father is sad. Every child deserves a mom and a dad," one top-liked comment suggested.

"Whose marriage got destroyed for this pregnancy?" a second sneered.

"Who's the daddy" someone else rudely asked before another simply included the link to a blog discussing the "importance of a father."

Other VPR stans came to her defense, quickly drowning out the haters with support in the replies.

"why should a woman be deprived if being a mother and having children if she doesn’t have a man," one wrote. "It is extremely courageous!!! Good for Lala!"

"She don’t need there to be a daddy! She is capable of raising this baby on her own!!" another exclaimed. "Congratulations!!!!"

A third added, "So happy for you love! I know how badly you wanted this. Now it’s finally happening🤍🕊️."

Earlier this year, Kent opened up about her desire to give her daughter a sibling, telling Cosmopolitan she was well on her way to expanding the family via intrauterine insemination (IUI)—a fertility treatment where sperm is surgically placed in a uterus to fertilize an egg, as explained by John Hopkins.

As for why she chose to have the procedure, she told the outlet:  "I will not gamble on me having my child. And I just don't think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world."

"If you want children and are only waiting for 'that person' to come into your life, let's talk about a different route that we can take. It's 2024! There are many ways to have a baby, and you don't need a man to do it," she added.
