Vancouver Canucks' Elias Lindholm and fiancée Annica announce 'Baby #2' is on the way: 'One more to adore'

Vancouver Canucks center Elias Lindholm and his fiancée Annica have shared exciting news that they are expecting their second child. Annica took to Instagram on Sunday to share the news of their growing family with a heartwarming carousel of images.

The first slide featured a heart-shaped white cake with the words "Baby #2 coming 2024," written in icing alongside an ultrasound photo.

The second slide captured a moment as Lindholm and Annica's one-year-old son, Levi, held the ultrasound photo. And in a short video clip, Lindholm is seen holding his son, proudly showing him the ultrasound screen during a doctor's visit.

"Family is growing. One more to adore," the soon-to-be mom-of-two captioned the post.

The announcement received an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow wives and girlfriends of other Canucks players celebrating the couple's latest milestone.

Natalie Miller, wife of Canucks center JT Miller, commented three heart emojis, while Aleksandra Zadorova, wife of Canucks defenceman Nikita Zadorov, added, "OMG guys! Congrats."

"Congratulations to the both of you! Such great news. So happy for you," a fan penned.

"Amazing news. You have a beautiful family!," wrote another.

"Yay! Such great news," another commenter echoed.

The Lindholms' journey into parenthood started with the birth of their first child Levi just last year. Annica shared that Levi's unexpected early arrival led to an emergency C-section, but he has been thriving since his stay in the NICU.

Paired with two candid photos from the delivery room, Annica wrote: "After the epidural my blood pressure dropped a lot and at the same time Levi’s heart rate went down as well. So the doctors said to me that we might have to do a C-section to get him out."

"I said to them 'Just do what you need to do to get him out in the safest way possible,' and then they took me straight to the emergency," she recalled.

Annica noted that while it was a "stressful and scary" experience, she had full trust in her doctors.

"Everything went really fast... I knew that anything can happen during labour, so I was really open for anything and trusted the doctors 100 per cent," she shared. "The most important thing is that you and the baby are safe."

Even though it was quite stressful and scary I’m really happy for our experience."
