We’re always tuning in to Valerie Bertinelli’s Instagram, where she shares insights on her health journey and her favorite healthy foods, including desserts. One of her latest Instagram posts reflects on her wellness while recommending a satisfying snack.

“As you all know—if you’ve followed me the last year or so—I’m doing my best to feel my feelings these days and not numb them or ignore them with food or alcohol,” the actor and Food Network host writes in the caption of her recent post. “And I know scientifically [and] logically our body needs nutrition, like protein, fats, fiber, carbs, along with other nutrients [and] vitamins, so I’m doing my best to make sure I get those into my body.”

Alongside this sentiment, Bertinelli shows one of her current favorite foods: a packaged goodie boasting 10 grams of protein per serving. Here’s the snack Bertinelli is loving right now—plus where to buy it and the nutrition breakdown.

The snack in question is Genius Gourmet’s Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate protein bars. They’re advertised as snacks for the keto diet, but Bertinelli wants to set the record straight: that’s not why she bought them.

“Yes it says ‘keto’ but I’m not doing keto,” Bertinelli says. “I try to make sure I get enough protein, get enough fat, get enough carbs and get enough fiber in my diet. I’m just trying to keep an eye on those things … I don’t like diet culture.” We’re Team Valerie on this one!

Below is the nutrition information for one of these peanut butter chocolate bars:

  • 180 calories

  • 14 grams total fat

  • 10 grams saturated fat

  • 65 milligrams sodium

  • 5 grams carbohydrates

  • 2 grams fiber

  • 0 grams added sugar

  • 10 grams protein

A protein boost that pleases her sweet tooth, we love that Bertinelli’s low-calorie pick also has no added sugar. While you should be mindful of the saturated fat in this product, if your eating pattern is typically low in saturated fat, this bar can still be a healthy choice for you.

“These are delicious, I love them,” she remarks at the end of her Instagram video. “If you see them at your grocery store, I recommend.” Bertinelli says she buys these bars at her local grocery store and has seen them at health-food stores, too. You can also find them at Costco, on Amazon or on the brand’s website.
