Valerie Bertinelli is saying goodbye to something that has been "one of the huge joys" in her life.
The TV personality divulged in an emotional Instagram video that after 14 seasons, her Food Network show Valerie's Home Cooking will be ending, as she announced the premiere date of the final installment.
"I got some good news, and I got some bad news," Bertinelli said in the social media clip posted April 8. After sharing the "good news" that the 14th season of Valerie’s Home Cooking starts airing all new episodes on April 9 at noon, the actress continued, opening up about why the show won't continue.
"Food network cancelled us last summer," the One Day at a Time alum expressed, adding, "I have no idea why. I didn’t say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind. But they have not, so um, this is it. This is the final season.”
“I have loved making this show. It was such a dream come true. Every single part of it brought me so much joy. I loved the crew; I loved everybody in production. They loved making this show for you. So I hope you enjoy this final season, because we made every single episode with love for all of you," her announcement concluded.
Valerie’s Home Cooking initially premiered on Food Network in 2015 and has been running ever since.
"It has been one of the huge joys in my life to bring you this sweet little show, and I wish it wasn’t so, but the final season of Valerie‘s Home Cooking start airing tomorrow on @foodnetworkWe loved making every single episode for you 🤍 and I will really, really miss it. Thank you so much for watching! 💋♥️," the Hot In Cleveland actress captioned the mournful upload.

Fellow cook and Food Network personality Sunny Anderson let her know she wasn't alone, encouraging: "Oh honey bunny, I know the feeling of a cooking show cut... but I also know the feeling of something else greater you couldn't imagine coming next!
