Valerie Bertinelli breathed new life into the outfit she wore in the "before picture" for past Jenny Craig commercials–which she dubbed her "fat clothes"–while speaking candidly on self-worth in an emotional video.

The actress shared the personal update via Instagram on Oct. 2, writing at the start of the caption, "Warning: vulnerable post incoming -all hateful commenter’s will be blocked. 🥰."

In the clip, she reflected on how her opinion of herself and what constitutes someone's worth has changed—for the better. While wearing the old pink button-up and jeans, Bertinelli told friends and fans, "Health is not a body size. Health is not the number you see on the scale. Your worth as a human being isn’t dictated by your body."

Remembering the past, the 63-year-old admitted, “I thought I was fat the last time I wore these clothes,” before noting how far she has come, saying, "I’ve never felt more beautiful, more at peace, more mentally and emotionally stable than I do today and I’m wearing my ‘fat clothes.’ That’s f----d up.”

In the caption, Bertinelli shared that she has "been doing a lot of emotional and mental purging in the last year," talking about "getting rid of things that no longer bring me joy."

She acknowledged that self-care is a continuous process, saying, "I continue to work on not suppressing or numbing my feelings with food or alcohol and here I am. I am enough."

In a message to her followers, Bertinelli concluded the emotional post with the declaration: "Our bodies do not define who we are as human being’s. A number on the scale does not define how much love your heart can hold. 🩷 Please love yourself, every single part of you. YOU ARE ENOUGH 🤍✌🏻."

Rae Drummond of The Pioneer Woman commended her fellow Food Network star, writing, "Valerie, your honesty is so beautiful and you won’t ever know the extent of the positive ripple effect these posts will have on the women, both young and not-so-young, who see them."

Fans also appreciated Bertinelli opening up in such a vulnerable way, with comments like, "You are absolutely gorgeous because your mental and physical strength is shining through!" and "Thank you for your continued honesty, vulnerability and inspiration. WE ARE ENOUGH! 🙌🏼💪💙."

Many more shared their own stories of struggling with body dysmorphia and low self-esteem, really relating to Bertinelli's message.
