Valerie Bertinelli Celebrates Her Divorce From Tom Vitale

She called it the "second best day of my life."
Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale are officially divorced–and the actress couldn't be happier.
Bertinelli shared the news on Twitter late last night after receiving word that the paperwork was nearly complete.
"I'm at the airport on my way to see Wolfie," she said, referencing her 31-year-old son and musician Wolfgang Van Halen, whom she had with ex-husband, rocker Eddie Van Halen. Excitedly, she added, "My lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They're about to be filed."
Bertinelli, 62, continued: "On 11/22/22, I am about to be f–king divorced," later adding, "happily divorced."
"God, finally," the Food Network star let out in a huff, "it's finally over."
Alongside the video, Bertinelli wrote, "11.22.22 second best day of my life."
"Yes!" she squealed.
The former One Day at a Time actress filed for divorce in May of this year, six months after she initially filed for legal separation in November 2021–approximately 10 years after the two first married.
Per court documents obtained by PEOPLE this past fall, Bertinelli's marriage was dissolved by a private judge, Hank Goldberg, who also ruled on the estranged couple's Spousal Support and Attorney Fees issue, along with other proceedings. Neither Bertinelli nor Vitale appeared in court at the time.
Bertinelli had previously celebrated the break up by selling her Tiffany wedding rings and the Jimmy Choo shoes she wore down the aisle.
In a Sept. Instagram post, Bertinelli revealed that she had "dropped a few things off with @therealreal," a verified luxury consignment chain, which included "a couple of Tiffany rings that have some bad memories attached and a pair of shoes I wore to a wedding in January 2011 😉 They should be up in a couple of weeks! ✨💖."
