While we like to consider ourselves altruists at heart, getting a great bag in the process of giving back is certainly a win-win. E-comm site Olivela’s model rests on this very premise. For its newest retail partnership, the site is working with Valentino Garavani for the release of the One Stud bag which was first unveiled during the Rendez-Vous Spring/Summer 2022 fashion show.

The bag, among other accessories and summer-ready ready-to-wear options first launched at the Olivela brick-and-mortar store in Nantucket, Massachusetts. But you don’t need to summer in ACK to get your Valentino bags and shoes fix—with a charitable component, of course.

Olivela’s retail concept donates 20 percent of net proceeds from every purchase to its non-profit partners—including the Valentino Garavani offering, at no cost to customers or brands. The site recently reached a $1 million donation to Save the Children, which has helped 350,000 children stay safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. But that is just one of 40 charities available to donate to under the brand’s main pillars of of health and wellness, gender equality, and climate action available on the site. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Care, and Re:wild are just some of the other options. “As a customer, you can select which nonprofit you want your contribution to go to, which is super nice, to empower the shopper to make these decisions,” Maria Milano, chief merchant of Olivela tells BAZAAR.com.

Easy summer slides, the Rockstud sneaker, multiple bags, including the One Stud and Stud Sign styles are available on Olivela.com now. “It's obviously been a dream partnership for us,” Milano continues. “The product is spectacular…Really more than anything, it's about our joint efforts in doubling down on making an impact. For us, the idea of luxury is of course investing in beautiful product. But the idea that you can then pass it on, as heirlooms to your kids, to family members, et cetera, and give back at the same time, is really what we're all about.”
