The weather may be warming up and powder hounds are eking out the last few weeks of ski season, but Vail Resorts wants skiers and riders to start thinking about next season by putting its Epic Pass on sale for 2024 and 2025.

The Epic Pass, which offers unlimited and unrestricted access to more than 40 different mountain resorts and limited access to dozens more, will start at $982, Vail Resorts shared with Travel + Leisure. The pass will include 10 Buddy tickets along with six Ski with a Friend tickets.

Vail noted the launch price for the pass is the lowest of the year and will only go up from here.

“Our Pass options are designed to provide an incredible value to the best mountain resorts, whether you plan to ski and ride one day or every day,” Vail Resorts CEO Kirsten Lynch said in a statement shared with T+L. “Guests can expect to have a better experience at our mountain resorts year after year thanks to our continued investments and innovations, including lift upgrades as well as our new My Epic app that provides interactive trail maps, lift line wait times and new Mobile Pass technology, each designed to enhance your day on [the] mountain.”

In addition to the unlimited Epic Pass, Vail will put its other passes on sale, including the Epic Local Pass, which offers unrestricted access to 29 resorts for $731; and the Northeast Value Pass, which includes access to 21 resorts across the Northeast, mid-Atlantic, and Midwest for $600.

New for next season, the Epic Pass will also include access to another international resort: Switzerland’s Crans-Montana Mountain Resort.

This past year, the Epic Pass got a digital upgrade, allowing holders to store their passes on their phones and scan it on the mountain hands-free using Bluetooth. Next season, the option will also be available for Canada’s Whistler Blackcomb.

As an added bonus, Epic Pass holders receive access to Epic Mountain Rewards, which offers a 20 percent discount on food, lodging, lessons, rentals, and more.
