It doesn't matter if you live in a sprawling suburban space or a compact studio apartment, I think we can all agree that keeping your home tidy can be a total pain. Sure, nobody wants to live in filth; however, it takes a lot of time and energy to complete all of those chores. A few months ago, I finally pulled the trigger and picked up iRobot's Roomba j7+ vacuum, hoping it would make my time cleaning a little easier. Not only has it single-handedly revolutionized my chores, but it's also the cheapest its ever been on Amazon.

For the uninitiated, iRobot creates robotic vacuums that make cleaning your floors a breeze. This disc-like gadget is Bluetooth-enabled, so you can easily start or schedule your sessions from an app.

Though I've been using the Roomba j7+ for a few months, I'm consistently amazed by how much time I've saved on chores. Instead of spending 20 minutes on vacuuming, I can sit back and watch the Roomba can seamlessly glide across my floor plan while I'm working, prepping lunch, or indulging in my latest streaming obsession. (It's compatible with both hardwood floors and rugs so I don't have to lift a finger.)

And, thanks to its smart mapping, you can also break down your home down into specific rooms, areas that need a little TLC (like right by my oven) and spots to avoid at all costs (the tassels on the rug in my bedroom). The Roomba j7+ is smart enough to avoid staircases, walls, and furniture, plus it'll even take pictures of any unknown obstructions like cords and stray socks. Oh, and did mention it has a special automatic dirt disposal feature, so you won't have to deal with any of the messy aftermath?

I'll be the first one to admit that its $850 price tag elicits plenty of sticker shock—and it's sale price of $559 isn't exactly chump change, either. But, it's one of those products that have made such a difference in my life that make the price a little easier to justify.

Or, if you're on the hunt for a budget-conscious alternative, consider the iRobot Roomba j7 vacuum. This pared-down model doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the j7+—namely, the automatic dirt disposal—but it has that same ease that will make wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. (And, on sale for $399, it's also the cheapest it's ever been on Amazon.)

So, if you're looking for a seamless way to keep your home in pristine condition without enlisting a professional, now's a better time than any to add one of these to your cart.
