Utah Ski Resort Celebrating Snowiest February On Record

The past few weeks have proven fruitful for several ski resorts across the U.S., including Deer Valley Resort, Utah, which, late last month, shared that it had just experienced the snowiest February on record with 125.5 inches of snowfall.

Notably, this isn't the snowiest season on record—that title goes to last winter, when Deer Valley, alongside Utah stalwarts like Alta and Snowbird, got bombarded. The resort hit 606 inches of snowfall by April 2023. This season, they've seen 292 inches so far.Still, the snowiest February on record is nothing to scoff at, illustrating how much of the white stuff has recently fallen in Utah.

At nearby Alta, 5.3 inches of snow fell on average per day in February, leading the resort to coin it "Free Refills February." While it wasn't the snowiest on record for Alta, it was the third snowiest and wettest. Not bad.

The best part? Utah should get slammed again with snow this weekend. NOAA calls for over a foot of snow at Deer Valley between Saturday and Sunday, starting March off with a powdery reset. Powder hounds, you know what to do.
