Utah Ski Resort Building First Mountain Biking Trail
Many ski resorts across the state of Utah offer mountain biking trails in the summer, but Brighton Resort has held out, until now.
The resort just announced that they're building their first mountain biking trail near the top of the Majestic Chairlift.

Brighton Resort: "This is something a lot of you have been asking about for years. This summer has been the season for projects and improvements here at Brighton that well integrated for the winter season. However we’ve just started working on something that has been in our minds and yours for years.
We are starting on our first ever Brighton Mountain Bike Trail. If you happen upon the top of Majestic you’ll see the beginning of the Brighton Mountain Trail System we plan to implement in the coming years. Our first trail is in its very early stages of being built with completion looking to be done by next year with a very small possibility of later this fall. We are as excited for this as we are with Crest 6 and our new restaurant at Snake Creek as we plan to offer some of that signature Brighton fun that you get from our lifts in the winter, but soon in the summer too.
Please be patient with us as we start our journey into this new offering as construction timing for this may be variable. Hit the link in our bio to see all the improvements we’re working on here at your favorite spot in Big Cottonwood Canyon."
The caption states that the trail will open next summer, with a chance of a late-fall opening. This won't, however, be the only trail when all is said and done. The resort published the following statement:
"Brighton's incredible trail crew breaks ground on a mountain bike trail off Majestic – the first of a series that will span across the entirety of Brighton Resort."
Utah mountain bikers have lift-serviced options at Solitude, Powder Mountain, Deer Valley, Woodward Park City, Park City Mountain Resort, Brian Head, Sundance, and Snowbasin.
Adding Brighton to the list will surely be celebrated by mountain bikers across the Salt Lake City area.
