Utah Ski Area Hits 115 Inches Of Snow On The Month

February has treated Snowbird, Utah, well so far.

Yesterday, the resort stated that it had received "115 inches of snow" this month, with more likely arriving last night. Hallelujah.

Snowbird's now nearing its average yearly snowfall of 500+ inches, and with March and April still to go, I'd bet on the resort surpassing that mark. Sure, it's no 2022-2023 winter—last season, Snowbird smashed its snowfall record—but things have been looking dang good at the resort recently.

That's all you can ask for during a winter when portions of North America are struggling with warm and dry conditions. And Snowbird, when you take a look at the nationwide snow water equivalents, isn't. As of yesterday, the Jordan watershed—where Snowbird is located—had a higher than median snow water equivalent.

While the stormy conditions have blown over for now at Snowbird, the start of next week looks set to bring more snow, according to NOAA.

Beyond that, it's anybody's guess, although I'm sure a snow dance or two wouldn't hurt.
