From the looks of it, Usher is treading a little more carefully these days when choosing which celebrities to serenade at his shows.

In new video footage from one of his concert performances at Paris' La Seine Musicale—where he is set to deliver eight shows before heading back to his Las Vegas residency at Park MGM—the "Nice & Slow" singer can be seen beelining toward Gabrielle Union after spotting her in the audience.

But instead of directly approaching her to be the subject of his serenade, he quickly diverted to greet the actress' husband Dwyane Wade, who was right next to her, in supreme gentlemanly fashion.

"Let's stop—let's not get carried away," he said aloud, after singing a few verses of his freshly-released song, "Boyfriend."

"You know, this is Dwyane Wade. I ain't crazy," he joked, playfully adding, "This man will knock my whole head off and dunk it," before laughing and joining in for an embrace.

"I'm so happy to see you," the "U Got It Bad" artist confirmed, as he walked away to continue with his performance.

"Look, I don’t want no smoke 😅 👐🏾 Night one in Paris…," the clip was captioned. The snippet was jointly uploaded to both his own and Wade's official Instagram accounts on Monday, Sept. 25—a clear indication that the R&B legend and former NBA pro basketball player were putting on a united front after the event.

The respectful encounter drew in a massive amount of comments on the social media post.

"It's the respect for me 😍," one fan said, as another comically added, "The way Gabby was looking tho 🤣🤣🤣 I understand 💯."

"Usher ushering again lol 😂," a third chimed in.

Over the summer, the eight-time Grammy winner made headlines for a viral video where he sang to actress Keke Palmer.

And it seems the Usher hype isn't going to die down anytime soon, as it was announced that the music icon was tapped to headline the upcoming 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
