GALECA: Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics announce 15th Dorian Award nominees
GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ+ Entertainment Critics has announced the nominations for the 15th annual Dorian Film Awards.
The group, made up of over 500 LGBTQ+ film critics and journalists, celebrates not only film, but specifically LGBTQ+ film, with categories like LGBTQ+ Film and Screenplay of the Year, as well as categories like Visually Striking Film and Campiest Flick.
The Dorian Awards also have three special prizes: the “We’re Wilde About You!” Rising Star Award, Wilde Artist Award, and GALECA LGBTQIA+ Film Trailblazer Award. This year, Ayo Edebiri, Lily Gladstone, Jacob Elordi, Charles Melton, and Dominic Sessa are battling it out for the Rising Star Award. Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri, Greta Gerwig, Lily Gladstone, and Todd Haynes are up for the Wilde Artist Award, and Colman Domingo, Jodie Foster, Andrew Haigh, Todd Haynes, and Andrew Scott are up for the Film Trailblazer Award.
Gladstone, Melton, Gerwig, Haynes, Domingo, Foster, Haigh, Scott are also each nominated for their acting, directing, or writing this year.
The winners, as well as the winner of the Timeless Star Award, will be announced February 26. Here are the films with multiple nominations.

Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, and Claire Foy were also nominated for their performances. The movie’s final nomination came in the Genre Film of the Year category.
