This Is Us fans, you might want to come up with different plans for Tuesday night.
Last week, the NBC drama returned with a new episode after a three-week long hiatus. Apart from catching up with the Big Three, viewers got a closer look at Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson)’s story. This Is Us season 6 revealed that Randall (Sterling K. Brown)’s wife accomplished her dream of becoming a dance professional and she took center stage in a multitude of ways.
After This Is Us fans applauded Beth’s emotional storyline and congratulated actress Susan Kelechi Watson for her moving work, many started looking forward to what was next in the show’s final season. Unfortunately, there is another interruption in the schedule, which means This Is Us will not be airing tonight.
When is This Is Us returning?
This Is Us will return to NBC with a new episode on Tuesday, March 8 at 9 p.m. ET. In case you’re wondering why This Is Us isn’t on tonight, it’s because President Joe Biden is delivering his first State of the Union address. The 46th U.S. president’s remarks will be broadcasted by major TV stations, including NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN.
In the meantime, This Is Us fans can anticipate seeing Rebecca (Mandy Moore) bring the Pearson family together for Thanksgiving. But according to the upcoming episode’s promo, the matriarch will lead an important “family talk.” What’s more, the 30-second preview shows that there's tension at the dinner table and it teases that the topics “connection,” “honesty” and “discovery” will be front and center.
Though This Is Us creator and showrunner Dan Fogelman officially announced that the series finale will air on May 24, 2022, all signs are suggesting that the remaining episodes will be airing at a slower pace than viewers might like. But maybe it isn’t all bad. Season 6 will be comprised of 18 episodes and it’s currently up to the seventh one titled “Taboo.” After This Is Us wraps up for good, there might not be word from the Pearsons ever again, so let’s enjoy it while we can!
