‘This Is Us’ Fans, We’re Sorry to Break This Disappointing Episode News to You
Season 6 of This Is Us has stirred up a mix of emotions so far, and the popular NBC drama is about to hit fans with another devastating blow.
Since premiering its sixth and final season in early January, folks have been tuning in every Tuesday night to keep up with the Pearson family. Most recently, This Is Us fans were demanding to know where Uncle Nicky (Griffin Dunne) was during his mother’s funeral and then a debate ensued when Cassidy (Jennifer Morrison) came back into the picture. Although Uncle Nicky has made an appearance since then and Cassidy said a prompt goodbye to Kevin (Justin Hartley), there are still many unanswered questions.
Despite executives at NBC hoping to get “as close to an uninterrupted run” as possible for This Is Us season 6, there is a schedule change happening this month. In other words, a new episode of This Is Us will not be airing tonight and for the next several Tuesdays.
When is This Is Us coming back?
This Is Us will return to NBC with a new episode at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 22. On Monday, the social media team behind the hit series kicked off the week by sharing an announcement. “Catch up and be there for your favorite family’s return,” a post from the show’s official account read. “#ThisIsUsFinalChapter is all-new after the @NBCOlympics.”
That’s right, the 2022 Winter Olympics is taking over This Is Us’s prime-time spot for two weeks. In case you haven’t been watching, the Winter Games in Beijing began on February 4 and will be running through February 20. Afterward, This Is Us will be back with its fifth episode, titled “Our Little Island Girl: Part Two.”
In the upcoming episode, Rebecca (Mandy Moore) brings a date home but they aren’t alone. Meanwhile, Kevin and Madison (Caitlin Thompson) don’t see eye to eye about holiday family plans with the twins. What’s more, Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) feels the pressure to have a successful dance program and it starts with choosing the right dancers.
