'This Is Us' Fans Can’t Keep It Together Thanks to Milo Ventimiglia’s “Surprise Show” Teaser

This Is Us fans, Jack Pearson is coming back to TV ... but not in the way you'd expect.

Since the hit NBC drama ended in May 2022, fans have pleaded Milo Ventimiglia to venture his way back onto the small screen. Turns out he's doing just that with his new ABC show The Company You Keep, premiering on February 19. To celebrate the big news, the show's official social media accounts dropped a heart-pumping trailer, giving viewers a taste of what to expect from his newest fictional persona.

"It was love at first lie. ❤️🔥," the show's account captioned an Instagram post on January 30. "Watch the Official Trailer for #TheCompanyYouKeep starring @miloanthonyventimiglia and @catherinehkim, premiering February 19 on ABC. Stream on Hulu."

This Is Us fans quickly noticed his new show sharing a sneak peek ahead of the debut. As expected, they immediately began exclaiming their thrill about the Gilmore Girls alum's project.

"MILO!! I'm so excited to see him on my screen again," one person wrote in the comments on YouTube. "What is the surprise show that just dropped in our laps?! yes, yes, yess," another added on Instagram. "I’m watching anything with @miloanthonyventimiglia," a different user exclaimed.

Aside from a James Bond-style first look, what exactly is The Company You Keep about? ABC dropped a press release on January 11, sharing all the details behind who Milo will play. What's more, it looks like his new role is a complete 180 degrees from the TV dad fans loved for six seasons.

"A night of passion leads to love between con man Charlie and undercover CIA officer Emma [Catherine Haena Kim], who are unknowingly on a collision course professionally," read the official statement. "While Charlie ramps up the 'family business' so he can get out for good, Emma’s closing in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie’s family debts in hand – forcing them to reckon with the lies they’ve told so they can save themselves and their families from disastrous consequences."

As far as how the Emmy nominee feels about it, he was immediately open to the opportunity.

"Let's let Jack be who Jack was — and let's give the man a break," he told Entertainment Weekly in December 2022. "If I can just kind of find something different, as an artist, it would be pretty satisfying to just dive into something different, something new. Those were the only two things in looking at characters was: Let's make him not be a father, let's make him not be a husband, just a guy on his own, however that comes at us."
