The This Is Us cast reunited to honor the legacy of their late co-star, Ron Cephas Jones

Actor Chris Sullivan shared a photo of the group's reunion at Jones' memorial service over the weekend, where he joined Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Susan Kelechi Watson and Jon Huertas to celebrate Jones' life.

In the Instagram post uploaded on Monday, Sept. 18, the group all sat around a table together while attending the event at the Anspacher Theater in New York on Sunday.

"We celebrated him as a #ThisIsUs family," Sullivan, 43, wrote in the caption, while also sharing a photo of the program from the ceremony, which had a black-and-white photo of Jones on the front.

The late actor—who was known for portraying William Hill on the hit NBC show—died on Aug. 19 following a "long-standing pulmonary issue," his representative announced at the time. He was 66 years old.

After Sunday's memorial service, Sullivan used his Instagram post to reflect on his "takeaways" from listening to Jones' daughter Jasmine, and the actor's "closest lifelong friends" talk about his life.

First, Sullivan wrote, "Ron Cephas Jones may have been the most self-realized man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. And BY knowing himself so clearly, he could dedicate his life fully to his family, his friends and his art."

Second, Sullivan continued, "Ron made his daughter feel loved and safe, by making space for her to fully express and realize HERself."

"In one memorial, I discovered everything I want to be as a father," he added while concluding his post with the hashtag, "#ripkingcephas."
