The Upcoming Episode of "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" Features a Return to "Murder House"

I'm already scared.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse has been a totally terrifying walk down AHS memory lane. From the return of our favorite Coven members to the introduction of a much older Michael Langdon, Apocalypse has included plenty of throwback moments. However, this week's special episode is taking viewers back to where it all began: Murder House.

According to The Wrap, AHS is returning to its roots and will explore Murder House as it relates to Apocalypse during a special extended episode on Wednesday, October 17th. The show, which normally airs for an hour, will instead be running for one hour and eighteen minutes, giving viewers just a little more time to feel afraid before bed. In addition to the extra few minutes of show, this episode will feature the return of some of our favorite characters.

The episode, appropriately titled "Return to Murder House," will have many of the first season cast members reprising their roles. Jessica Lange, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott are all confirmed to star in the crossover episode. Taissa Farmiga and Evan Peters, who have both already appeared in Apocalypse as other characters, will also be stepping back into their former roles for this episode. Along with a special cast, the crew for this episode is also pretty neat. The show's star Sarah Paulson will be taking on the role of director.

It hasn't yet been revealed how the crossover aspect of this installment will work, but actor Cody Fern (Michael Langdon) told TV Guide that viewers won't be disappointed. "It's going to be high emotions," he said of the episode. "It's going to be incredibly compelling. We're going to find out a lot about Michael Langdon. And I'm thrilled about that."
