Unsurprisingly, Charles Is “Outraged” Over What Harry Wrote About Camilla in ‘Spare’

The royal family might be *officially* maintaining their long-standing “never complain, never explain” rule when it comes to Prince Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, but the anonymous royal sources of the world are chatty as ever.

One such unnamed insider connected with Us Weekly to share some goss about how King Charles feels about the myriad of 😳 revelations Harry made in the book, and just like you probably guessed, he’s not a fan. While Harry had plenty to say about many members of the Firm, Charles is apparently most concerned with the passages about his second wife, Queen Consort Camilla. According to the Us Weekly source:

“Charles is distraught. He’s angry and outraged that Harry’s aired so many embarrassing and damaging assertions, and it’s put him in a terrible position with [Queen Consort] Camilla of course now that she’s been dragged into the equation. That’s really crossed the line in more ways than one, but there are so many egregious comments and revelations from Harry that his father doesn’t know where to start. He has hope that in time the dust will settle and Harry will soften his heart toward his family, at least he hopes so. But he’s not going to push or apologize.”

While the anon Charles source didn’t get into specifics about which passages in Spare put the monarch in a rough spot with his spouse, it’s probably safe to bet that Harry describing Camilla as “dangerous” and revealing that both he and his brother, Prince William, actively pushed their dad not to marry her rank pretty high on the list.

Harry even doubled down and elaborated on the “dangerous” description during a recent 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, saying:

“She was the villain, she was a third person in the marriage, she needed to rehabilitate her image. The need for her to rehabilitate her image…that made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press. And there was open willingness on both sides to trade information and with a family built on hierarchy, and with her on the way to being Queen Consort, there was going to be people or bodies left in the street because of that.”

Sooo, yeah. Charles is apparently not a fan of any of ^^^ that ^^^.
