You partake in the "Extra Magic Hours" at Disney, you've already been to the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park and you've ridden on the Gringotts ride at the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter more times than you can say "expelliarmus!"
Now, there's a brand-new theme park to get excited about. Universal Studios is expanding to add another magical land to the mix: Epic Universe.
The new park will be Orlando's first new opening in 20 years, according to CN Traveler, and will sit on 750 acres of land southeast of the original park, nearly doubling the size of the entire park that already contains Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
In a press conference last week, Universal Parks chairman and CEO, Tom Williams, said Epic Universe will be “the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created." (And that's from the people who brought Harry Potter to life, so needless to say, we're screaming like a little kid on a rollercoaster.)
Epic Universe will contain four separate parks within, and include rides, shops, restaurants and one massive-looking hotel at one end.
Rumors are there will be some Nintendo-themed characters and rides, since Universal announced a partnership with the video game company in 2015. There may also be an expansion of Harry Potter world with a Fantastic Beasts–themed park, according to theme-park blog ParkStop.
Probably better to keep this under wraps 'til we know more, yeah? The kids won't let you plan another vacay in peace if you don't.
