Universal Standard announced a new collaboration with Rodarte on Tuesday. While the size-inclusive clothing company has partnered with a number of brands across various markets — Goop and J. Crew, for example — this is the first time the brand has partnered with a luxury label. This collection marks the second (yet very rare) time Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy have created offerings for the mass market, in addition to their collaboration with Target back in 2009.

"[Rodarte] is one of those beautiful, dreamy brands that are very difficult to access for most people because they are very high luxury and they're very high fashion," Universal Standard's Co-founder and Creative Director Alexandra Waldman tells Fashionista. "We just love the idea of giving a little taste test to all women in general and allowing them to really own something from this brand."

The capsule collection, which ranges in price from $150 to $240, will include a long-sleeve blouse, skirt, full-length jumpsuit and dress available in sizes 00 to 40. The range is decidedly Rodarte, from the garments' romantic details — flowing godets, layered frills, ruching and bows — to the color palette of red, black, white and rose (a very soft pink).

Waldman says that the creative process was heavily collaborative, too, requiring trips across the country to each of the brand's studios — Rodarte in Los Angeles; Universal Standard in New York — for fittings.

"It took a little bit of time to work everything out because we obviously wanted to use our micro-grading to make sure it fit all women across the entire 00 to 40 size range; the designs are purely theirs, as are the color choices," explains Waldman. "It's very different from Universal Standard and it's one of those things that we're delighted to bring to our consumer — something completely different and something that's very, very unique to these designers."

The limited-edition collection is available now on Universal Standard's website and its pop-up shop in New York City's Soho. You can browse and shop the entire line in the gallery below.
