It’s about to get "epic" at Universal Orlando Resort as the theme park has announced details and shared an official first look of its upcoming Universal Epic Universe.

Universal first announced that the park will be home to it's east coast version of Super Nintendo World and revealed further details of its five immersive lands in a press release with Travel + Leisure on Tuesday.

Joining Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay, Universal Epic Universe will “feature breathtaking, multi-sensory environments, impeccable design and innovative technology throughout – creating an entirely new level of experience that will forever change theme park entertainment.”

The park will house five “worlds” that will feature attractions, dining, shopping and more. And we now know those lands will include Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo World. Across these immersive lands, guests will discover over 50 “awe-inspiring” attractions. Its opening will mark the Orlando resort destination’s fourth theme park, transforming the resort into a weeklong vacation destination.

Its Harry Potter-themed land is “where guests will discover a different era of the wizarding world in an all-new land that blends 1920s wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts films with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series.”

Super Nintendo World, the third land of its kind following versions in Japan and California, is where guests can step through the iconic green pipe and into the world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other beloved characters. In How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk “guests can soar with dragons in a colorful world filled with Viking adventures based on the wildly popular How to Train Your Dragon film franchise.”

For fans of Universal’s classic monsters, Dark Universe is “where guests encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.”

The announcement also included further details on Celestial Park, the “heart of Epic Universe” and the first guests will encounter, home to “breathtaking gardens” and serving as a portal to each land. Here guests can “wander through lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”

But it’s not all relaxation, Celestial Park will feature Starfall Racers, a dual-launching racing coaster that will have competing ride vehicles claim victory as they rush across 5,000 feet of track at speeds of up to 62 mph. A first for Universal, the roller coaster will have the two coaster vehicles perform an inverted crisscross.

The land will also feature Constellation Carousel, interactive wet-play area Astronomica, fountain shows, and a range of both quick-service and full-service restaurants, including The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant and The Oak & Star Tavern.

The theme park will be adjacent to three new Universal hotels, including Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort. Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be located inside of Epic Universe, a first for the resort. Universal Helios Grand Hotel will feature 500 rooms with “one-of-a-kind” park views and its own dedicated theme park entrance for guests. Epic Universe promises to “integrate energy efficiency and sustainable construction practices.”

Universal Epic Universe will be located “just a few miles” from its current offerings, with resort wide ride transportation provided for guests. Further details will be released in the coming months, including an interactive preview center set to debut later this year.
