Universal Is Offering Hot Butterbeer All Year Now Because It's Superior

Real Harry Potter fans have been craving butterbeer ever since its first mention in the series, long before it was actually available in real life. With attractions like Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter, fans can now drink the mystical beverage whenever they visit the park and finally the hot version of butterbeer is available all year long.

Before, Hot Butterbeer was only available at Universal during the winter season with each cup offering flavors reminiscent of shortbread and butterscotch with whipped topping. Now, witches and wizards can get their hands on the hot drink at food and beverage locations in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley every single day.

This is big news because, as Delish's Digital Director and resident theme park expert Tess Koman put it, the flavor of Hot Butterbeer is the most similar to what Harry Potter fans probably guessed when they first read about it in the books. Compared to the other Butterbeer beverages, the hot version is heavier on the butterscotch and there's no ice to distract you from any of the flavors. Pair it with some butterbeer fudge from Honeydukes and you're golden, Tess says.

Besides the hot drink, fans are able to enjoy the flavors of Butterbeer in the form of frozen Butterbeer, Butterbeer soft serve ice cream, and more. If you're not close to Universal or don't have plans to visit any time soon, you can enjoy the tastes of Butterbeer at a new Butterbeer Bar in New York City or you can always try to recreate it at home.
