United Way offering new grant opportunity

Apr. 18—United Way of the Wabash Valley has announced a new grant opportunity, the Healthy Kids in Mind and Body Project.

This opportunity is made available by United Way of the Wabash Valley's Community Health and Youth Success Impact Councils.

The United Way is seeking innovative youth programs that are working to make a difference in the overall health of their participants. Programs may be conducted during the school year, summer 2025, or other out-of-school time. Proposed projects can take a variety of approaches to addressing the overall health of students with a more holistic approach.

Through the Healthy Kids in Mind and Body Project, the United Way is working to advance the following objectives:

* Empower youth to attain a well-balanced healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally.

* Provide youth with the knowledge and resources that will help them cope with life's pressures successfully.

* Empower youth with the tools and resources for healthy lifestyles at young ages which will lead to a healthier community in the future.
