The United States Women's National Team Get the Nike x Martine Rose Treatment
Martine Rose announced the next instalment of her Nike collaboration earlier this month, showcasing an unwavering approach to revitalizing football dress codes. Now, the design duo have taken the partnership one step further, by dressing the United States Women's National team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Offering a genderless exploration of football styling, the collection aims to support its wearer (and player) throughout all major moments, from getting off the plane to arriving on the pitch -- and everything in between.
"I love the mash-up that sports and fashion and culture has become, and as an athlete, I’ve always wanted what we wear to stand for more," says Megan Rapinoe, Nike athlete and United States Women's National Team member. "I think Martine, as a designer inspired by sports culture, is able to pull so much meaning into her work, and for her to be able to express herself through this moment that is so special to us is really cool — and obviously the pieces are just dope."
