Houston, we have a problem. A big one. Delish staffers are OBSESSED with the Unicorn trend. I don't care if it's a cheesecake, ice cream, or dip, if we can dye a white food the gorgeous pastel palette of a unicorn's poop, we're game. It's just so mesmerizing to look at all those colors swirling together!

The latest unicorn obsession we have is Unicorn Toast. I first came across the trend when I saw blogger Vibrant & Pure's creation. As the name of her blog implies, she is way more, well, pure than we are at Delish, creating the vibrant colors of her toast with virtuous ingredients like beet juice, turmeric root, and chlorophyll drops. We just go for some old-fashioned food coloring (oops!).

We also wanted to slather more on the toast than just dyed cream cheese, so we opted to mix it with marshmallow fluff, which tastes as sinful as it sounds. (If you're beginning to think that this toast sounds more like dessert than breakfast, you're on the right track.) To create the colors, you divide the cream cheese-fluff mixture into 5 small bowls (or one bowl for however many colors you want), then add a drop of food coloring to each. For a more pastel look, one drop should be plenty, but you do you.

To create the swirl effect on your slice, simply dollop small spoonfuls of each color onto the bread until it's covered, then use a knife to swirl them together. Be careful not to swirl too much or else the colors will get muddy. (If they do, simply add more pink or yellow to brighten things up.) Top with sprinkles and have yourself a magical morn!
