If you haven't yet embraced the unicorn and rainbow trend, now is the time. Starbucks is releasing a magical Unicorn Frappuccino, and rumor has it that it will be in stores this week.
Starbucks employees and several lucky customers have already posted pictures of the colorful drink to social media. The sugary beverage is an electric purple with cool blue swirls mixed in. A generous dollop of whipped cream on top is sprinkled with pink, purple, and blue powder. The result is a drink you must snap a photo of before you take a sip.
While we haven't had a chance to try the much-anticipated concoction yet, reviews are already coming in. According to TODAY, the Unicorn Frappuccino looks better than it tastes. The blue swirls are actually a sour syrup drizzle that pack quite the punch if you take in a mouthful. The mango base is deliciously sweet and worth a try, even if it's just for the Instagram.
Starbucks has yet to officially announce the release of the drink, but it's expected to be around for a very limited time. We've seen several locations give different availability dates, so we recommend stopping in your local shop and asking the barista when the Unicorn Frappuccino will be available.
