Underrated Utah Resort Announces Two New Trails For Upcoming Season

Nordic Valley Ski Resort, located near Eden, Utah, is overlooked by vacationers due to its size, but this little gem can still pack a punch.

An expansion project in 2020 substantially increased Nordic Valley's terrain with the addition of a new high-speed chairlift, and a plethora of new trails.

Surprisingly, Nordic Valley announced on September 11th, 2023 that two new trails have been cut for the upcoming season. More information below:

Nordic Valley Ski Resort: "We could not keep the secret any longer, 2 brand new trails will be cut over on the Nordic Express!!🤩🥳"

The trails, which appear to still be unnamed, are marked by the yellow highlighter in the map above. We don't have much information about them -- other than that they're accessed by the Nordic Express.

The Nordic Express is a high-speed six pack lift that is located to the south of the long-standing Apollo double chair. The lift opened in 2020, and features a 1,400 vertical drop.

The mountain also announced their targeted opening date for December 2nd, 2023.

Nordic Valley proposed a massive expansion plan in 2018 that includes a 4.3 mile long gondola that would connect the resort with North Ogden. See the map below:

Will Nordic Valley's pipe dream of becoming one of the largest ski resorts in Utah come true? That remains to be seen as environmentalist and other groups have expressed concerns with the plan.

For now, consider taking a detour on your next ski vacation to Nordic Mountain. Lift tickets are dirt cheap, the vibe is high, and the skiing/snow is still fantastic.
