From CMG Events... Tucked away in the outskirts of Florence, Italy is the stunning venue Belmond Villa San Michele. With stunning views of the skyline of the romantic city, you could not imagine anywhere else you would want to be. No better place to look into the eyes of the one you love and say ‘I do’.
We traveled from California with Lucas Rossi Photography to capture a destination we know people long to see and more frequently these days, planning to emulate with their destination weddings. We partnered with local wedding planner IIlaria Manaresi of Acquamarina Wedding Planner to help navigate through the Italian language and help us build a team of incredible Italian vendors.
Florals, by Nina Eifiori, came from Rome, rentals from Milan, dress from downtown Florence and so many more. The collaboration was an inspiring international thing of beauty. We knew we wanted romance and it to feel authentic to Florence, which is why we chose an elegantly muted palette to let the details speak for themselves.
My favorite design element was the tablescape that was enclosed in its personal balcony with views of the entire city of Florence. I knew that others would see this shot and feel the same emotion I did standing there in the moment. It was an honor putting this editorial together and would be an honor to share with the SMP readers and have them transport to Florence and start daydreaming about or planning their own Italian destination wedding.
