Four-time NBA champion Steph Curry and WNBA sharpshooter Sabrina Ionescu faced off in a special three-point contest on Saturday night as part of NBA All-Star Weekend. Prior to the shootout, the brands that back them — Under Armour and Nike, respectively — traded shots of their own on X (formerly Twitter).

Curry and Ionescu were the headliners of the first-ever NBA versus WNBA three-point challenge, dubbed “Stephen vs. Sabrina,” which took place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Hours before the historic event, Nike, through its Nike Basketball account on X, took a jab at Curry. The post read “Best not miss,” with both the Ionescu “S” logo and the Swoosh branding underneath.

Under Armour, through its UA Basketball account, directly responded to the shot with two words: “He don’t.”

In the end, the Golden State Warriors guard bested the New York Liberty guard — who shot from the NBA three-point line versus the NBA — in the contest, 29-26.

For the event, Curry wore the Curry Splash, a new court-ready shoe from Curry Brand, his Under Armour-backed imprint. The specific shoe he wore on Saturday night was from the “Curry Jam” collection, delivered in colors inspired by the iconic video game “NBA Jam.”

The Curry Splash “24 Jam” is available now via Underarmour.com in unisex sizing for $100.

As for Ionescu, she had her Nike Sabrina 1 signature shoe laced up, executed predominantly in a hue synonymous with the Liberty. Several colorways of Ionescu’s sneaker are available now via Nike.com with a $130 price tag.

Curry will participate in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night, which will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and air live on TNT at 8 p.m. ET.
