Ummm, Prince Harry Called Out Prince William for Not "Rolling Out the Red Carpet" for Meghan Markle
Unless your head has been buried in the sand (and when I say "the sand" I'm obviously talking about pumpkin pie), you've likely noticed that the internet is buzzing over potential tension between Prince Harry and Prince William. These reports stem from Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to ditch Kensington Palace-where William, Kate, and their children live-and instead move miles away to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
The most likely and reasonable explanation for Harry and Kate's move is that they simply want to raise their kids out of the "goldfish bowl" of Kensington Palace. But Vanity Fair's royal reporter Katie Nicholl claims that there *is* some tension between the royal brothers. A source (who is one of the princes' mutual friends) tells Nicholl that Harry and William had a falling out last Christmas, when Harry told his older brother that he wasn't doing enough to include Meghan in the royal family.
"Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so," the source says. "They had a bit of a fall out which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort. That’s when the Cambridges invited the Sussexes to spend Christmas with them."
Keep in mind that the incident in question was almost an entire year ago, and though a source does tell Nicholl that-as she puts it-"there has been tension between William and Harry in the last year," the Sussexes and Cambridges have since attended several events together and seemed happy enough.
And also, Harry and Meghan gushed about William and Kate in their engagement interview just a month before Christmas of last year, saying Kate was being "wonderful," and that William was a "fantastic support."
Either way, there's almost zero percent chance of Kensington Palace commenting on speculation of tension between the brothers, but it's pretty notable that Meghan and Kate recently stepped out wearing basically the same outfit-a sartorial display of unity that cannot be ignored!
