Update, 12/2/19: The Palace confirmed over our Thanksgiving break that Kate Middleton and Mary Berry (and Prince William, but whatever) did indeed film a Christmas project together called "A Berry Royal Christmas." In a series of adorable photos, they explained "the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have joined forces with cookery legend Mary Berry to prepare festive food to thank all those working and volunteering over the Christmas period."

That means the trio baked and brought baked goods to different remarkable charitable figures across the UK, including Passage Charity, which is a resource for the homeless, and Action on Addiction, a rehabilitation program of which Kate and Will are patrons.

The special will air on Monday, December 16 at 8:30 p.m. on BBC One...in the UK. It's unclear if it'll air in the US at any point, but, if nothing else, we have these glorious pictures.

Original post, 11/18/19: Sound the freaking royal alarm, two greats are reportedly collaborating. According to UK tabloids The Sun and The Mirror, Mary Berry, queen of our hearts and former Great British Bake-Off judge, and the actual future Queen Consort Kate Middleton are working together on a Christmas TV special. Be still our tea-and-crumpet-loving hearts.

Per The Mirror, the Duchess of Cambridge will be a guest of honor on Mary's BBC1 holiday show. The two are expected to cook a feast for charity workers who take shifts on Christmas and New Year's.

While there aren't any official details yet—a spokesperson for the BBC told the paper "all will be revealed in due course," which is most definitely NOT a no—the special is meant to air next month, so it can't be kept under wraps for too long. Filming has reportedly begun, too, sooo here's hoping we get a selfie of two women on the official Royal Instagram soon.

In the meantime, we'll be pouring over all the photos currently in existence of Kate and Mary. The two met back in 2013 at an event for Child Bereavement UK, an organization both are patrons of, and more recently were together for the launch of a children's garden in Woking, England. In photos from the "Back to Nature" festival, the two look like they're having a grand ol' time, so we're just gonna take that as evidence that another project is in the works. Here's hoping Paul Hollywood shows up to lend a hand!
